Celemony Melodyne Cre8 is a powerful multitrack audio generating, mixing, and editing tool. It includes functions for generating multiple harmony parts from one part; correction of pitch and timing errors; refashioning of monophonic signals; sound processing; and creation of complete arrangements.

Melodyne is the perfect tool for pitch shifting and time stretching in convincingly natural sound quality, for correcting the intonation and timing of singing, for audio quantization, producing harmonies, and remixing and restructuring the melody, tempo or timing of existing recordings. Formant tuning with the Polyphonic algorithm in Melodyne studio The playback parameters when you select "Poly/Percussive" now include a new control named "Formant Tuning." With this parameter, it is now possible also for the first time with polyphonic material to control the behavior of the formants independently of the intensity of the pitch alteration. Scroll/Zoom slider The scroll bars now offer an 'overview graphic' for quick orientation within an arrangement or a track. Furthermore, they can now be used not only to scroll but also to zoom.

New Percussive 2 algorithm in Melodyne cre8 Melodyne cre8 now uses a considerably improved algorithm for the playback of percussive material. With it, cre8 is able in the case of exclusively percussive, unpitched material to achieve the same high level of sound quality as Melodyne studio.

Drop Notes Opening arrangements with missing notes. Until now, it was impossible to open an arrangement if one or more of its constituent audio files could not be found—either because they had been deleted or renamed, or because the hard disk they were stored on was unavailable.

Reliable note recognition The analysis takes account automatically of the type of audio material, obviating the need for further programming. If you are batch processing a set of files of the same type, you can also create and store your own recognition templates.

Macros for the correction of intonation and timing errors The macros introduced by Melodyne for the swift correction of notes that are out of tune or mistimed as well as for creative requantization are now also available in the multi-track versions.
